Board of Directors for specialized department newly elected: Linz robotics expertise for the German Engineering Federation (VDMA)
The Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) division of the VDMA Materials Handling and Intralogistics Association has elected two new board members. Wolfgang Hillinger MBA was re-elected to the board after his intensive commitment over the past four years.
Because mobile robots are playing an increasingly important role in intelligent production and logistics, the VDMA Materials Handling and Intralogistics Association founded a corresponding specialist department back in 2018. The aim was to establish uniform standards for the AGV/AMR market, which are jointly developed in the specialist department.
The choice fell on the international market leader from Austria
With over 40 years of experience in the development and design of mobile robots, DS AUTOMOTION is not only one of the most consistent industry experts internationally, but also one of the most experienced. This know-how is now being used again in the AGV / AGV specialist area.
In his position as CEO of DS AUTOMOTION, the native of Linz commented on his re-election:
I am delighted to be re-elected and thank you for the trust you have placed in me. The opportunity to continue working for the association is a great honor for me. The issues that lie ahead of us are multi-layered and complex, so I am delighted to be working together in a team of many competent association colleagues towards a common goal! I would like to thank my outgoing Board colleague Andreas Drost for his excellent cooperation and commitment.
